The Kitselman Pure Energy Park (KPEP) features several innovative sustainable energy solutions, including a 5-megawatt rooftop solar array, an energy-efficient microgrid, and a geothermal system that provides heating and cooling for the park’s buildings. The park also includes a mix of industrial, commercial, and retail spaces, with tenants including manufacturers, logistics companies, and service providers. The park is designed to be a hub for sustainable business and innovation, attracting businesses that are committed to reducing their environmental impact and promoting sustainability.

An example of this model can be seen in one of the KPEP tenants, DD Dannar,LLC, who is involved in the manufacturing of mobile power stations. These are large batteries that sit on wheels and can be operated similarly to a car or remotely to transport and store electricity to power work in remote areas when hooking up to the electrical grid is either not practical or not possible.

Community Alignment

KPEP is an example of a successful Brownfield remediation project that has transformed a former industrial site into a productive and modern facility. The park is a model for other communities seeking to redevelop Brownfield sites and promote sustainability in their communities. McCaffery’s investment in this project promotes economic growth and a sustainable future for the Muncie community through the creation of high-quality jobs with environmentally conscious businesses for local residents.
