The new facility will initially offer 128 jobs and grow to 178 jobs over five years, as employee training is completed on newly installed equipment and drivers are added to handle extra volumes of steel.
The new East Chicago Alliance Steel facility will be constructed on land designated for industrial use that had been left vacant by Inland Steel in East Chicago, Indiana.
Community Alignment

It is anticipated that 65% of the newly created and retained full-time equivalent positions will be available to low-income persons in the area.
